Julia Garard is currently working with SWITIC as an intern assisting with community outreach and marketing efforts. She is attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is in the School of Business working to earn her degree towards Economics. Her expected graduation date is Spring 2022 and is originally from Bloomington, IL.
She has done economic research with a professor at SIUe based on lowering prescription prices for those on Medicare and Medicaid in 2019. What she hopes to do with her degree is work in the nonprofit industry helping others use government programs to achieve their goals.
